Artistic brand wire is a non-tarnish copper-core wire. The copper is first covered in silver then a clear polyurethane coating is applied over the silver. It is the silver coat that makes the colors so brilliant. The polyurethane protects the silver from oxygen and makes it non-tarnishing. Soft and flexible, this wire bends easily, retains it's shape, and is attractive and non-tarnish. This is great wire - in fact it is the very best type of craft wire I have ever used. I know you can buy other wires that claim to be the same but are cheaper (believe me they are not the same) and as my old Grandad used to say "don't spoil the ship for a hap'orth of tar".

Artistic™ brand wire comes in two types, a silver-plated copper wire and a permanent-coloured copper-core wire.
This gauge wire will pass through a Miyuki Delica at least 3 times and a Miyuki 11/0 3 times as well
